Much like the rest of the Triad area, Kernersville has seen an uptick in recent months in the number of catalytic converters stolen from vehicles inside the town limits.
“The whole Triad has seen an increase,” said Kernersville Police Officer Blake Jones, who handles media relations communications as a member of the Kernersville Police Department’s (KPD) Community Engagement Team.
Since January, there have been at least 16 incident reports which include catalytic converter thefts filed with the KPD. For more, see the Saturday/Sunday, March 27 & 28, 2021 edition.
