More vaccine groups open

Public health officials with Forsyth County and physicians with Novant Health discussed further opening of groups eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccines on Thursday and Friday, noting that as long as vaccine availability continues, they are ready for the coming increase.
Governor Roy Cooper, along with North Carolina Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mandy Cohen, announced Thursday that the state would be accelerating the timeline for moving to Groups 4 and 5 for vaccine eligibility, with the rest of Group 4 eligible on March 31 and all eligible adults remaining beginning on April 7.
