School board members swearing in

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS) Board of Education will hold a meeting today at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Education Building at 4801 Bethania Station Road in Winston-Salem. At this meeting the new WS/FCS Board members will finally be sworn in and officers will be elected.
The public will be seeing a very different school board after today. Six WS/FCS school board members declined to run in the 2022 midterm election for various reasons.
The new school board members being sworn in today are Sabrina Coone-Godfrey, Richard Watts, Trevonia Brown-Gaither, Susan Miller, Robert Barr and Steve Wood. The new WS/FC School Board will consist of five Democrats and four Republicans.
