The Town of Kernersville will be directly benefiting from the $1.7 trillion omnibus bill that was passed on Dec. 22 that will fund the federal government through Sept. 30, 2023.
Kernersville will be receiving $2.4 million for the Beeson Stream Restoration and Flood Resilience Project. This is a much bigger part of a project that started in 2017, which was funded by a $400,000 grant.
The funding for the restoration project is part of $25.56 million in community funding for 15 projects in our state’s 6th district, which is represented by U.S. House Rep. Kathy Manning.
