Welden continues growth

As Welden Village continues growing toward their vision, they are beginning to clear land to make way for a grocery store.
Milt Rhodes, vision keeper for Welden Village and principal planner for the Arden Group, said they have embarked on a large earth moving project in order to have the land ready. He also noted that Welden Park apartments, a 204-apartment community, is under construction and should be completed by the first of fall.
“We’re anticipating that the grocery store community will pay attention to what we’ve done,” Rhodes said. “We have 31,000 households within our submarket, so it’s just a matter of time before they make their decision to move down.”
Rhodes said they plan to begin working on commercial block one, a multi-tenant building, this coming winter.
