Sporleder

Arnold Albert Sporleder, 87, of Kernersville, NC passed away on October 11, 2016.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on November 5, 2016 at Blacksburg Unit-ed Methodist Church in Blacksburg, VA. A Visitation luncheon will follow the service.
Arnold was born in Schaumburg, IL on May 14, 1929. He served in the Marines during the Korean War. He married Jane on December 20, 1973.
Arnold retired from VF Corporation where he worked as a diesel mechanic. In Illinois, he was a landscaper. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, traveling, Sudoku, and fixing things. He was also actively involved in Civitan Club, Friendship Force, and Habitat for Humanity.
Arnold is survived by Jane Stafford Sporleder (wife), Byron Parks (grandson), Heather Eisinger (granddaughter), Kenneth Sporleder (brother), Delores Herman (sister), Mary Parks (daughter), Marian Eisinger (daughter), and other family and friends.
Arnold is preceded in death by Albert and Anna Sporleder (parents), Vernon Sporleder (brother), and Juan Parks (grandson).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to a cancer research or hospice care organization of your choice.
