Thelma Needham Robbins, 93, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015. She was born November 26, 1921 in Surry Co. to the late Ezra Allen and Rosie Mae Fulk Needham. Thelma was a long time member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Glen H. Robbins; three sisters, Mozelle Sampson, Ola Mae Vickers and Roxie Idol; and a brother, Allen H. Needham. Surviving are her daughter, Robin Robbins Rayfield and husband, Jack; two granddaughters, Whitney and Madison Rayfield both of Kernersville; a sister in-law, Kathleen Needham of Bahama and many loving nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday August 23, 2015 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. David Rorie officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Bunker Hill United Methodist Church Capital Improvement Fund, 1510 Bunker Hill- Sandy Ridge Rd., Kernersville, NC 27284 or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103.
