Reedy

Helen Simmons Reedy, 86, formerly of Kernersville, passed away on November 15, 2015. She was born June 6, 1929 in Rockingham County, VA to the late Harry and Millie Deter Simmons.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 58 years, Norman Delmar Reedy; daughter, Sherry Grandle; three brothers and a sister.
Surviving are daughters, Carolyn Benner and husband, Hal of Harrisonburg, VA and Linda Shifflett and husband, Keith of Kernersville; four grandchildren, Heath Benner and wife, Becky of Harrisonburg, VA, Tiffany Bowman and husband, Addison of Clover Hill, VA, Todd Benner and wife, Christine of Clayton, N.C. and Britney Ravenel and husband, Aubrey of Greensboro; eight great grandchildren and son-in-law Ted Grandle of
Anyone who knew her would know that she was the most loving, caring person you would ever hope to cross paths with. It is no wonder she was often called Heavenly Helen because she was truly our angel. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church while residing in Kernersville.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2015, at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Bridgewater, VA.
