She was a 1950 graduate of Kernersville High School and a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. Faye enjoyed monthly breakfasts with her classmates as long as her health allowed. She also was very dedicated to the Kernersville YMCA, where she had many friends and received many recognitions for her commitment to her health and exercise. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her son, Scott Peddycord; a brother, Harold Gardner; and a sister Hallie Gardner Dean. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Rex Peddycord; her son, Stephen Peddycord (Melody); three grandsons, Michael, Matthew and Kenneth Peddycord; her aunt, Mary Gardner Hutchens; her cousin, Lucy Hutchens Vestal; two nephews, James Kenneth Dean and Nathan B. Gardner and their families. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers at Trinity Elms Senior Living Center for their care of Faye. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 12:15 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kernersville Pink Ribbon Rally, 406 W.
