New business owner

Rebecca Overman, 26, is a Kernersville native and has become the new owner of the Lighthouse Candle Factory, which opened their doors on April 6.
The Lighthouse Candle Factory was created in 1997 by Betty Burger, who is often referred to as “Ms. Betty.”
After years of trying to buy store bought candles, Ms. Betty was disappointed in the candle quality she was purchasing in stores. According to Rebecca, Mrs. Betty opened her own business right from her home and perfected the candle recipe over the years. Each candle is hand crafted and hand poured.
“A true pioneer in the industry, Ms. Betty perfected and began to manufacture the most even-burning, most fragrant and longest lasting candle available anywhere,” said Rebecca’s online statement. “From her custom wax blend to her proprietary dual-pour process, combined with using only the highest quality fragrance oils Ms. Betty created what our customers call ‘The Perfect Candle.’”
