Murphy

Kernersville – Virginia Mae Bean Murphy, 83, went to her Lord on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born on January 22, 1938, in Watauga County to the late Roby Lee and Virginia Dare Bean. Virginia loved the Lord and serving Him in ministry along-side her husband for 58 years, she particularly loved playing the organ and singing in the choir. Virginia also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. One thing for certain was her love for her family, especially her sons and grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Marshall Bean.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Rev. Glenn Murphy of 63 years; her three sons, Timothy Glenn Murphy, Derek Travis Murphy (Terri), Todd Durane Murphy (Deanna); and her four grandchildren, Tara Murphy, Aaron Murphy (Ryan), Breanna Murphy, and Hannah Hox-worth.
A private service will be held for the family on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Due to COVID concerns, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Century Park Baptist Church, 1051 Salisbury St, Kernersville, NC 27284. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
