The attorney for a Kernersville man accused of conspiring to plan and then participating in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6 filed court papers Thursday arguing that her client should be released from custody.
Charles J. Donohoe, 33, was arrested by FBI agents in Kernersville on March 17. At the time, officials with the FBI in Charlotte reported that Donohoe was taken into custody at his home, but according to Lisa Costner, Donohoe’s court-appointed attorney, his arrest actually took place at The Brewer’s Kettle, where Donohoe had been employed for four months doing handwork and landscaping.
