Monkeypox vaccine

For the second week in a row, Forsyth County Public Health Director Joshua Swift pivoted from providing local media outlets with an update on cases of COVID-19 in the community during his weekly briefing last Friday, to discussion on the monkeypox outbreak sweeping across the nation.
According to Swift, at the time of his briefing, the state had had three confirmed cases of the contagion, a viral disease similar to smallpox, with one each confirmed in Wake and Mecklenburg counties. For more, see the Thursday, July 14, 2022 edition.
