Kernersville- Helen Hester McBride, 89, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Piney Grove Nursing & Rehab. Helen was born July 11, 1927 in Forsyth County to Henry Ery and Ethel Motsinger Hester. She loved crafts, especially knitting, ceramics, painting, needlework and sew-ing. There wasn’t anything that she could not do!
Helen was the last of 12 brothers and sisters – 8 boys and 4 girls. She was the baby girl!
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, James McBride; and many special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Friday, November 25, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev Drew Southern and Rev. Denny Hester officiating. Burial will fol-low at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, and to the staff at Piney Grove Nursing & Rehab Center in Kernersville.
