Maggie Craig Maxey, 82, went home to be with the Lord August 21, 2016.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Wednesday August 24, 2016 at Kerwin Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Hawtree officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
A native of Forsyth County, Maggie was the daughter of the late Lizzie June Self and Harvey McClure Craig. She was a longtime member of Kerwin Baptist Church. She was retired from Corilam Fabrications and later worked with Lowe’s Home Improvements in Kernersville.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her daughter Vickie Coppersmith, and brothers Harvey S. Craig and June “Mack” McClure Craig.
Survivors include her loving husband of 22 years Don Maxey of the home; daughters Glenda Pilson, Judy Willard, June Pilson, Penny Landreth and Michael, Sherry Tucker and Kevin, Sheila Tucker and Scott, Missy Wombaugh, and April Lynch and Chris; step-children Tim and Shantae Maxey, and Michelle and JR Rutherford; grandchildren Sharon, Mark, Robert, Johnny, Karen, Angie, Rodney, Kim, Monica, Danny, Angie, William, Dawn, Adam, Laura, Zachary, Bobbie Jo, Jacob, Charlie, Samatha, Breanna, J.C., Chasity, Eric, Mallory, Shane, Haley, Taylor, Zoe, Dallas, and Levi; step-grandchildren Brandi, Allie, Bailey, and Kayla; seventy-seven great-grandchildren; thirty-one great-great grandchildren; brother William Leonard Craig and Rebecca; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday evening at the church.
