Mandatory testing

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS) Board of Education voted 6-3 Tuesday night to pursue development of a COVID-19 testing pilot program for students participating in school athletics and extracurricular activities.
Once the pilot program is implemented, WS/FCS students who wish to join a school’s sports team or performing arts program such as band, chorus, dance and ROTC will be required to fill out a COVID-19 testing consent form. Those who do not will not be allowed to participate. Screening will be required for staff and coaches, as well. For more, see the Thursday, August 26, 2021 edition.
