The Kernersville Board of Aldermen (BOA) has scheduled Public Hearings on two rezoning cases and consideration of an amendment to the Kernersville Development Plan to amend the Land Use Plan at their meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Kernersville Municipal Council Chambers.
The first item on the agenda is a Public Hearing rezoning for approximately 39.54 acres of property located at 229 and 241 Perry Road. Michael C. Thelen, Agent for Perry Road Properties, LLC, requests a General Use rezoning from RS-20 (Residential Single Family), GI (General Industrial) to GI. Initially, at the Dec. 11 Planning Board meeting the Planning Board was requested to keep the property as part of the Industrial Corridor Overlay District per the Planning Board staff’s request.
