Floyd William Knight, 73, went to sleep in the Lord July 5, 2016.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:30PM Saturday July 9, 2016 at Kernersville Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Don Davis and Rev. Duane Peterson officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church.
A native of Forsyth County, Floyd was the son of the late Ruby Irene Idol and Victor Lee Knight. He was retired from the old Sears & Roebuck in Greensboro and later from Guilford County Schools.
A longtime member of Kernersville Seventh Day Adventist Church, Floyd had served as a church elder, deacon, and also superintendant over the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by sisters Colleen Snyder and Irene Meadows, and brothers Conner Knight, Denver Knight, Worth Knight, Benny Knight, and Dennis Knight.
Survivors include his loving wife Annie Christine Shields Knight of the home; daughter Tisha Zawatski and Mark of Kernersville; son William “Todd” Knight of Kernersville; grandson Michael T. Knight; brother Dewey Knight of Kernersville; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
