Firefighter Van Lew

If you have lived in Kernersville for several years, specifically the Talley’s Crossing community, there is a good chance you may have met John Van Lew, III. Sadly, John died a little more than a month ago on December 7, one day after his 87th birthday. For those that did not have the privilege of meeting or getting to know him, I will attempt to share a few words about a man who truly had a compassion for serving others.
