Kernersville-Nina Faye Lankford Davis, 95, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Regency Care of Clemmons. She was born September 11, 1920 in Stokes Co. to the late Monroe and Champie Mae Alley Lankford.
Nina was a member of Kernersville Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry P. Davis.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Owen of New Brunswick, NJ; step-daughter, Shelba Skiver (Clayton) of Kernersville; two grandsons, Mark Skiver of Winston-Salem and Timothy Skiver (Roxanne) of Madison; three great-grandchildren, Dr. Brent Skiver (Lauren) of Alexandria, VA, Eric Skiver of Portsmouth, OH, and Elizabeth Skiver of Grove City, OH; one great-great-grandson, Preston Watson of Grove City, OH; sister, Neva Mabe of Walkertown; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Mt. Gur Cemetery with Rev. Phil Hulen and Rev. Don Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
