COVID-19 updates

Nearly 100 new cases of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus have been reported in Forsyth County over the last two days, and health department officials continue to urge the public to take precautions as the state moves to reopen.
According to the Forsyth County Department of Public Health (FCDPH), 48 new cases have been reported since Thursday’s health department briefing, and another 48 were reported since Wednesday’s.
So far, there have been 869 laboratory-confirmed cases, according to the FCDPH. As of Thursday, May 21, the Guilford County Division of Public Health (GCDPH) reported that it been notified of 962 cases of COVID-19 in Guilford County.
