Ida Carson, 92, went home to be with the Lord August 26, 2015.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Monday August 31, 2015 at Main Street United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
A native of Forsyth County, Ida was the daughter of the late Bonnie Mae Blackburn and David Nathan Haneline. She was married to the late Addison Woodrow Carson who died in 1979.
She was retired from the former Sears Roebuck Catalog Order in Greensboro. She was a longtime member of Main Street United Methodist Church. All that knew her knew she was a true “Blue” Tar Heel Fan.
In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by her siblings Christine Norton and David Nathan Haneline, Jr., and grandchildren Kenneth Todd Love and Robert Christopher Carson.
Survivors include her daughter Candy Cline and Gray of Lake Norman; son Robert W. “Bobby” Carson and Donna of Kernersville; grandchildren Kevin Craft and Wendy, and Crystal Denette Hicks and Cory; great-grandchildren Alaina Love, Michelle Craft, Zoey Craft, Cameron Hicks, Courtney Hicks, and Brian Carson; and great-great-grandson Edward Carlos “E J” Gutierrez, Jr.
The family will visit with friends from 4-6PM Sunday afternoon at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home.
