Armed robbery

The Kernersville Police Department (KPD) responded to 723-B E Mountain St. (Sweepstakes) on May 11 at approximately 4:30 a.m. in reference to an armed robbery. According to a press release, officers learned a black male allegedly brandished a firearm and demanded money from an employee. The subject left the area in an unknown type of vehicle. Police said the subject obtained an undisclosed amount of money.
The subject was described as wearing a black ski mask, covering his face, green jacket and dark shirt. Anyone with any information is asked to call the KPD at 336-996-3177.
