As the local chapter of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) prepares for its third annual Wreaths Across American program honoring area veterans on Dec. 15, organizers are calling on the community to share stories of loved ones who volunteered their service to God and country. CAP 2nd Lt. Leslieann Gourley has attended past Wreaths Across America programs. “I was amazed that such a short ceremony…could affect me so deeply,” said Gourley. “I have never lost a loved one in war; however, I truly feel for those who have.” For more, see the Thursday, November 29 edition.
