Fry

Sally Ann Staples Fry, 74, died October 10, 2015.
Burial will be in the National Veteran’s Cemetery in Salisbury. Her family will observe a short ceremony at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home in Kernersville prior to her transfer to Salisbury.
A native of Forsyth County, Mrs. Fry was the daughter of the late John William Staples of Craigsville, VA. and Ina Whitaker Staples of Kernersville. She was married to the late Lamarr Edward Fry, a career Army veteran who died in 2013. She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Timothy (Melanie Clary) Wright.
Mrs. Fry had attended Greensboro College and had worked for a number of years with Lyf-Tym Building Supply in Kernersville. She also worked several years as a receptionist in the ophthalmology department at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
Mrs. Fry’s survivors include her daughter Kristie Clary Corl of Winston-Salem; grandchildren Kaitlyn Rollings and Hunter Skarzynski; sister Carolyn Ozment and husband Floyd Ozment of Kernersville; and brother John Ed Staples and Jane of Kernersville.
An informal gathering of Mrs. Fry’s family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Main Street United Methodist Church sanctuary.
