On Thursday, October 24, people lined the streets to see two large 1800s log buildings being transported from Hopkins Road to the Kernersville Museum.
Alderman Joe Pinnix, who had a passion for saving the buildings, explained that when the seven acres of land on Hopkins Road where the buildings were was sold to a developer, he along with many other community members were worried the history of the structures would be lost.
