On July 1, Diana McIntosh became the principal at Walkertown Elementary.
The desire to become a principal first came to McIntosh when she was a child living in Liberia. McIntosh was born in Liberia. She is the youngest of four siblings.
Growing up, she said, “I just knew I would be the principal at my grandparents’ school.”
Asked whether she imagined becoming a teacher first, McIntosh smiled and said, “The thought never crossed my mind.”
