Linda Gail Macy Venable, 80, of High Point, passed away March 2, 2023, at Wake Forest Bap-tist Hospital, surrounded by family.
She was born December 18, 1942, to Julius Macy and Vera (Lamar) Macy. Linda was a long-time resident of Kernersville, and worked at Pinnix Drug Store for twenty-five years, and retired from Wake Forest Baptist Hospital after twenty-one years of service. She most loved spending time with her family and will be remembered as a person that was kind, generous, gracious, and always thought of others before herself.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Kenneth Venable, by her children, Terry (Leigh Ann) Venable, Angela (Theresa) Culler, Gregory (Judy) Venable, by her grandchildren, Bryan (Lauren) Culler, Emily (Brian) Brumble, Allison (John) Seymour, Justin Venable, Mason Venable, and by her great-grandchildren, Grayson Culler, Finn Culler, Andrew Brumble, Ethan Brumble, and Ava McMillan. In addition to her immediate family, Linda is also survived by her siblings, Vivian Venable, Reba Atkins, Gary Macy, Shirley Fox, and Randy Macy. She was pre-ceded in death by her parents, her brother, William Macy, and her sister, Nancy Mabe.
A Memorial Service will be held at High Point Friends Meeting, 800 Quaker Lane, High Point, NC 27262, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00 am.
The family will receive visitors prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Linda’s memory to Community Outreach of Arch-dale-Trinity, 10607 North Main Street, Archdale, NC 27263.
