Vaccines at health department

Forsyth County public health officials announced Monday that the department will begin offering COVID-19 vaccines to anyone older than 75 on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
The news comes as the county transitions into Tier 1 of Phase 1b of the state’s vaccine rollout, “which is focused on all citizens 75 years of age and older regardless of the health status or living situation,” said Forsyth County Department of Public Health Environmental Health Director Daniel A. Lemons in an email to the Kernersville News on Monday morning.
Individuals in Forsyth County who meet the criteria can call 336-703-2081 to schedule an appointment.
Lemons said due to high call volume, callers will need to be patient. He also said it is important for individuals to attend their appointment or cancel at least two hours in advance. For more, see the Saturday/Sunday, January 2, 2021 edition.
