Mary H. Taylor transitioned into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 24, 2021.
Mrs. Taylor was born August 2, 1926 to Cora and James S. Hale in Halifax County, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky Long and husband, Jimmy of Kernersville, NC; her grandson, Brandon Long and wife, Misty; and her great grandchildren, Luke and Haley all of Midway, NC. Her family brought her great joy and she loved every minute spent with them. Her favorite pastimes included all puzzle books and any time she could play a game of BINGO with her friends. She retired from Western Electric after 33 years of service. She was a faithful mem-ber of Union Grove Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, as long as her health permitted.
Mary was a loving, compassionate lady with a heart of gold and a beautiful smile. She was well loved by all who knew her.
Graveside Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Brother Richard Lenderman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Countryside Manor in Stokesdale, NC. Mrs. Taylor lived there for several years and was given loving care and attention from her caregivers.
