Denim Bradshaw, a 14-year-old student at Walkertown Middle School, tragically died after an incident at a rodeo event in King on Saturday evening.
Bradshaw was a participant in the Rafter K Rodeo at the American Legion Post 290 in King when he was thrown off a bull on Saturday night. Bradshaw was stomped on the chest after he was thrown off the bull, according to multiple reports.
Stokes County Emergency Management was called to the scene at roughly 8:30 p.m. on a report of a cardiac arrest. Upon the arrival of Stokes County Emergency, King firefighters were already administering first aid to Bradshaw, who was unconscious. Bradshaw was rushed to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, where he passed away. For more, see the Thursday, February 2, 2023 edition.
