Stewart, Julia Cook
Julia was born December 24, 1947 in Kernersville, NC and lived in Kernersville, NC most of her adult life. Julia passed through this earthly veil September 12, 2020 where she was predeceased by her loving parents Ollie (Tom) and Ora Cook; her loving partner Neil Pardue; her siblings Tommy Cook and Bill Matthews. They are having a joyous reunion in Heaven!
Julia leaves behind the family she loved so much, son Michael and his partner Glenda, son Dean and his wife Joy. Sister, Beck and her husband Ed, Sister in law Jane. Niece, Chris and her husband Rob, Nephew, Matt and wife Lesa. Julia was also an extremely proud grandmother of four; grandson Ramy, granddaughter Berkeley, grandson Caleb and granddaughter Chloe.
Julia was an unselfish and giving person who loved celebrating holidays and other special gatherings with her family. She had an ease with people that let them know that she truly cared for them. She will be missed by many.
Julia was a long-time member of Kernersville Friends Church in Kernersville, NC where she and her partner Neil enjoyed participating in the Church. Many of her devoted and dear friends attended church with her. Julia was strong, independent and social; she had many dear friends. We express our gratitude to her many dear and loyal friends who have enriched her life.
Julia retired from General Dynamics where worked for many years.
Julia loved cooking, volunteering, traveling and anything involving her grandchildren.
Blessed with a keen mind and memory, Julia remained home until shortly before her passing.
A Memorial service for family and friends will be held September 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Kernersville Friends Church located at 320 N. Main St. Kernersville, NC 27284. Please wear masks.
