The Kernersville Board of Aldermen voted 4-1 to approve changes to the Town’s noise ordinance, but rejected including cutoff times for live outdoor music next to residential areas. Instead, the Board opted to let a new set of decibel levels for individual zoning districts determine whether a noise is too loud or not.
The Board’s vote came late into a more than five-hour meeting Tuesday evening that was supposed to begin at 6:30 p.m. For more, see the Thursday, April 7, 2022 edition.
