Social media rumors

A person in a community group on Facebook has updated what many who read it viewed as an alarming post about the possible attempted abduction of a child in a Sedge Garden neighborhood earlier this week and has closed the thread to further comments.
The original post appeared on the “Kernersville News and Happenings” page, which is a group where information about the Kernersville area can be found and shared among group members; however, just because something is shared on social media as news doesn’t mean it actually occurred.
