Myrtle Beach, SC – Glen Coy Smith, 84, husband of Barbara Jean Vaden Smith, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at his residence.
He was born October 31, 1931 in Colfax, NC a son of the late George Griffin and Beatrice Ballard Smith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Odell Smith.
He was the owner/operator of Town and Country Motors. He loved to sit out on his porch and wave and talk to people. He was known as the “Mayor” of Ocean Blvd.
Survivors including his wife are: one daughter, Kay Smith Ramsey and husband, Gary of Myrtle Beach, SC; one brother, Lanier Smith and wife, Patsy of Kernersville, NC; one grandson, Dillon Ramsey and wife, Natasha.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
