Anthony C. Smith, 51, died October 8, 2016 in the line of duty during his service as a Security Officer.
Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 11:00AM Friday October 14, 2016 at Oaklawn Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
A native of Forsyth County, Anthony was the son of the late Bobby Smith and Patsy Luffman Smith (Burkey) who survives. He was a graduate of Parkland High School Class of ‘83. He had served several Security Services since High School and currently was employed by Guard One Security. He was a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church and currently a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 19 years, Amy Saul Smith of the home; children Katlyn Michelle Smith and Alex Monroe Smith both of the home; mother Pat Burkey and Ben of Winston-Salem; sisters Kelly Doub and Gene of Winston-Salem, and Sherry Holland and Al of High Point; six nieces and two nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
