Paul John Skotcher, 79, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully Friday, August 5, 2022.
A native of Detroit, MI, Paul was the husband of 55 years to Kathleen Appleby Skotcher and the son of Joseph Skotcher and Josephine Piesnik Skotcher, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. Paul retired from Kernersville Post Office in 2008 with more than 36 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen of the home; daughter, Lisa Pennington of Kernersville, NC; sons, Michael Skotcher and wife, Sarah of Winston-Salem, NC, Bob Skotcher of Kernersville, NC, John Skotcher and wife, Jen of Huntersville, NC, and Mark Skotcher and wife, Madison of Trinity, NC; eight grandchildren, Logan Herrington, Megan Herrington, Seth Skotcher, Caitlin Pennington, Ella Skotcher, Everett Skotcher, Rachel Skotcher, and Joe Skotcher; great grandson, Grayson Calloway; and daughter-in-law, Michelle Skotcher.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Tennant; and brother, Francis Skotcher.
A prayer vigil and a time of visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30AM Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Noah Carter officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Church Columbarium.
