Senior Services request

Senior Services presented its annual funding request to the Kernersville Board of Aldermen during the Board’s April 6 regular monthly meeting, asking the Town for $15,000 in financial assistance for the upcoming fiscal year.
The request is a $2,500 increase over the $12,500 Senior Services received from Kernersville for 2020-21.
Senior Services President/CEO T. Lee Covington provided his presentation remotely, beginning with a slideshow overview of the organization’s mission.
“Our mission really can be summarized in one word, and that’s dignity,” Covington said. “Our work is focused on helping older adults from throughout Forsyth County to remain in their homes for as long as possible, living and aging with dignity and purpose, and we also have a special affinity and support family caregivers who are helping with that work.” For more, see the Tuesday, April 13 edition.
