School bonuses

Employees of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS) received some good news at the Nov. 15 Board of Education meeting.
The school board unanimously approved the spending of $12 million in federal COVID-relief money for 8,000 employees. All WS/FCS full-time staff employed as of Dec. 5 who have committed to staying in their position through the rest of the school year will receive a $500 bonus on Dec. 16 and a $1,000 bonus on Jan. 13. Full-time WS/FCS employees also received a $1,000 bonus in August.
