Sales tax revenue

Before adjourning for the year, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners approved a plan to allocate an increase in sales tax revenues that came in higher than originally expected. Locally, the unexpected gains mean an additional $100,000 to Körner’s Folly.
According to county officials, the increased revenues will be used to restore budget cuts made in this year’s budget as well as put money into services and non-profits during their Thursday, Dec. 17 meeting.
