Safe Streets

For the last six months, a Saturday morning program on the campus of East Forsyth High School has been quietly working to make our streets safer. It’s a program members of the Kernersville Police Department stand by. That program is StreetSafe, an initiative that was started in Wilmington in 2008, to address what officials there saw as an alarming number of young driver deaths occurring in New Hanover County.
