Emergency crews and law enforcement officers were called to the scene of an apparent hit-and-run accident in Kernersville on Tuesday, Aug. 18, with investigators saying the crash may have been caused by road rage.
The incident sent a young mother and her infant child to the hospital, where the mother was treated for minor injuries. The infant, which was secured in a child safety seat, was unharmed, said Trooper W. S. Saunders of the N.C. Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. in the 6000 block of Old Valley School Road, near Kerner Road. For more, see the Saturday/Sunday, August 22 & 23, 2020 edition.
