Road construction

The N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will temporarily close the N.C. 66 ramp accessing U.S. 421/I-40 Business East this weekend, for concrete slab removal, shoulder strengthening, shoulder construction and asphalt paving on the ramp, at the Macy Grove Road Improvement Project site in Kernersville. Work is expected to be completed by 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 7. Motorists will follow the signed detour route along Industrial Park Drive and Macy Grove Road.
