Road closure

The N.C. Department of Transportation will close down all lanes of US 421/I-40 Business in both directions this weekend to tear down the old Macy Grove Road structure in Kernersville.On Friday, Sept. 26, at 10 p.m. crews will close down US 421/I-40 Business between Highway 66 (Exit 15) and the I-40/US 421/I-40 Business split. Construction slated to be complete Monday, Sept. 29 at 5 a.m., weather permitting. All traffic must follow the signed 5.4 mile Eastbound detour and 5.6 mile Westbound detour.
