After a lengthy public hearing that lasted more than an hour, the Kernersville Board of Aldermen voted to deny a rezoning petition that would have seen more than 100 homes developed in a new subdivision off County Line Road.
Community Development Director Jeff Hatling presented details about the proposal, which came before the board this past Tuesday night with recommendations for approval from both the Kernersville Planning Board and staff. That wasn’t the case with aldermen.
