Odell

Dorothy M. Odell, 97, passed away January 22, 2016.
Dorothy was born in Utica, New York, to the late Walter and Alice Lites Kaelin. On November 28, 1942 she married to the late Edwin F. Odell. She was retired from General Electric Company and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kernersville.
She loved her trips to Florida and North Carolina and also enjoyed reading her Bible, knitting, and word search puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and especially playing Yahtzee with her sister Luella and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by five siblings and their spouses.
Survivors include her daughter Charlene Rohrer and Gerald of Kernersville; son Robert Odell and Eileen of East Syracuse, NY; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; a very special friend and prayer partner Alice Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date in St. Peter’s Church in Utica, NY. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Clinton, NY.

Memorials are asked to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
