New motion filed

A Kernersville man is appealing a federal judge’s ruling that he must remain in custody ahead of any trial on charges related to the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6.
Lisa Costner, the attorney for Charles J. Donohoe, 33, filed a motion on Monday to revoke the custody ruling made by U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael G. Harvey in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, April 22.
A grand jury issued indictments against Donohoe and three others in early March. Donohoe was arrested by FBI agents in Kernersville on March 17 and placed into federal custody in the Forsyth County Detention Center. For more, see the Thursday, May 6, 2021 edition.
