New businesses

Many people in Kernersville have been curious as to what will be constructed at two locations in town, a topic that was discussed at the Dec. 13 Kernersville Planning Board meeting at Kernersville Municipal Council Chambers.
The property on South Main Street that used to be a Wendy’s restaurant will now be home to Five Guys. Construction will also soon begin on the property adjacent to Harris Teeter on South Main Street. The new property will be a State Employees’ Credit Union bank, which was approved over three years ago. This will replace the current State Employees’ Credit Union located at 910 South Main Street.
