An organization that promotes women in the outdoors, Mud Maidens is hosting their first vendor event on April 30, and they are looking for vendors.
Mud Maidens Co-founder Rita Lewandowski and her friend, Rebeka Kelley, started the organization in the fall of 2021.
“The two of us would go off-roading with our friends and it would be all guys,” she said. “We thought, we have got to get more women out here.”
Lewandowski said they not only promote off-roading, but anything that gets women outdoors, including hiking, biking, kayaking and more.
“We have been doing a monthly night out for our Jeep side. We pick a restaurant and get together for a ladies’ night out,” she said. “So far, there are at least 25 active members and over 150 members on our Facebook page.”
