Money scam

A confidence game by any other name is a scam, pure and simple, and the Kernersville Police Department is warning citizens to beware if approached by anyone offering them a chance to win some quick money.
In the past several weeks, the KPD has received complaints about three such instances at businesses in the South Main Street area. In each case, an individual approached their victim, asking if they wanted to play a game, either the notoriously infamous shell game or a version of “Three-card Monte,” where the target is asked to guess which of three playing cards is correct.
